Now the Gulf has its first pet hotel and you guessed it right, its location is Dubai. Its large expatriate population requires this kind of facility when they travel. Like so many other things in Dubai the pet hotel might also seem to be over the top to many. The amenities and services include a personal butler, private limousine service, air conditioned suites with plasma TVs and garden views, a gym, pool, playground, the list goes on. Called the Urban Tails, the new facility is seven star pet resort and is the first of its kind in the UAE.
Aideen O’Mara, the founder of the pet hotel says that the idea was to create an environment that would take the stress of pet boarding for both the pets and their owners. For luxury living, the dogs can choose from suites and cats can opt for a kitty condo. The price starts from 115 Dirhams a night for basic rooms. The Royal suites offer the option of a live webcam that the owners can access and keep a watch on their pet. These luxurious suites would cost you 395 Dirhams for a night.
The Royal Suite guests can avail of the services of a personal butler. They also have a private limo for pickups and drop off. The pet hotel offers a choice of three top brands of dog food and also offers specially prepared meals like steamed chicken and rice. The resort also boasts of a dog gym and health club. There are Doggie Boot Camps for overweight dogs. The focus of the resort is on dogs and their wellbeing but matching facilities for cats including forty fully furnished kitty condos.
