The Taj Mahal & Oberoi Hotels In Mumbai Go The Discount Way To Attract More Tourists

The two most famous hotels in Mumbai and perhaps in India, the Taj and the Oberoi, became famous internationally on November 26, 2008. Though both the five star establishments could have happily lived without the extra attention. We mean the terror attack that resulted in the two buildings being held under siege by militants that caused a lot of damage to both life and property.

Well, now the hotels have decided to leave the past behind and step forward into a new future that initially will be filled with a lot of dicounts to attract customers. The hotel groups are all set to re-open their flagship properties in Mumbai within the next quarter with a hope to bring back its lost glory post the harrowing 26/11 terror attacks.

We are told that a stay in the Presidential Suites at each of these is a luxury in every sense which many cannot afford. The Mumbai Oberoi will charge as much as 300,000 rupees ($6,750) a night while the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower will offer the same at 350,000 rupees a night. All this with a sincere hope to bring back the foreign tourists to these hotels.
