Sony Corporation Launches The World’s First 3D Compatible Head Mounted Display, The Sony HMZ-T1


One of the biggest names in the field of consumer electronics, Sony Corporation has now taken the concept of 3D personal entertainment and turned it on its head with the introduction of the all new Sony HMZ-T1, a state of the art helmet that is also stated to be the world’s first 3D compatible head mounted display. Introduced as a wearable television, this one of kind and most remarkable innovation in the world of 3D entertainment, provides the users with two 0.7 inch HD displays that are equally complemented by an array of organic LED technology. The HMZ-T1 3D helmet is by far one of the most cutting edge device for 3D personal entertainment. Sony has designed this magnificent device to be compatible with a variety of devices such as Blu-ray players, Sony PlayStation 3 etc. and the HMZ-T1 renders unmatched graphics as well as magnificent audio quality to the levels of a 750 inch cinema.

The introduction of the Sony HMZ-T1 3D helmet was made at one of the biggest consumer electronics shows in the world, the IFA in Berlin, Germany and with this grand announcement, Sony also unveiled an all new e-reader called, ‘Sony Reader WiFi’, which is being touted as the world’s lightest e-reader, as well as two brand new tablet devices. The newly introduced tablets that go by the initials, ‘S’ and ‘P’ are Sony’s answer to the tablet race that has gripped the tech world since the launch of Apple iPad last year. The Sony ‘S’ model comes with a 9.4 inch touchscreen display and the device can even be used as a remote control for all infra-red devices, including televisions and HiFi systems. The Sony ‘P’ model on the other hand features a foldable design and comes with two separate displays.
