Creating something new from scratch is relatively simpler and easier than converting or reforming something to become something else. It is not easy to change something that has remained almost the same for a long time. But some times it is fun to think out of box and create something unusual just for the heck of it and the result is often pleasantly surprising.
Peter McKee , owner of Master Billiards, also thinks the same way perhaps and has turned a boat in to a pool table. Can you imagine it? I guess not. You have to see it to believe it. Peter of Parramatta made it for a special client on request. He took a 21 foot speed boat and fixed a seven pocket pool table on it. The cost the boat turned pool table is a significant $60,000.
The table comes with a ball return system. After entering the pocket, the ball returns to the rear through a pipe. The hull of the boat bears the words Brian, B Dog and The B. Actually the boat-table pays a tribute to 28 year old Queensland water skier Brian Rix who lost his life in a boating accident on the Fitzroy river in 1999.
