Dream of Flight is a high tech virtual reality lounge which has been developed by Luxurious Animals, a New York based developer of creative gesture recognition technology designs and 3D rendering. The project has been sponsored by Lufthansa. The lounge though has been designed as part of a multimillion dollar project for Esquire Magazine. The Esquire’s virtual reality lounge is an amazing flight simulator that uses body movement to offer an inimitable flying experience, free of conventional controllers.
For the installation, they opted for the D-Imager, Panasonic Electric Works’ 3D Image Sensing Camera. Robert Bengraff, CEO of Luxurious Animals is of the opinion that this project wouldn’t have been possible without Panasonic’s technology and commitment to excellence. The experience is entirely breathtaking, as the flyers can control flight speed and direction. This technology allows for unparalleled detection accuracy.
Nick DeGaetano, Group Manager of marketing for Panasonic Electric USA is delighted to be a part of this exciting project because Luxurious Animals’ sophisticated software brought to light the true power the D-IMager and they have succeeded in creating an engaging and unique sensory experience. The “Dream of Flight†virtual reality lounge will help Esquire Magazine in raising funds for many charities and organizations.
