Elie Saab’s Debut Fragrance Launches This Summer

There was a time when fragrances were only produced by long-established perfumeries. That is no longer the case, given that top luxury brands have been eying this luxury sector.  Last year, luxury handbag designer Reed Krakoff released his limited edition fragrance. Then, in March this year, we got a sneak peak at the brilliant packaging of Swarovski’s new fragrance created in collaboration with the Clarins Fragrance Group. And now, it is the turn of Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab to dabble in the perfume business. It has been a long wait. Saab announced his debut fragrance two years ago. Now we hear that the perfume is finally ready and will be launched this summer. No fancy names here – the new perfume from the Elie Saab brand is called Le Parfum, with perfumer Francis Kurkdijan developing the scent.

According to reports, the new perfume will have flowery and woody notes. Orange blossom, jasmine, cedar, patchouli and rose honey have gone into the making of this top-end perfume, which will be available in 30, 50 and 90 ml bottles. It will be accompanied by matching body products as well.

Apparently, Kurkdijan took inspiration from Saab’s red carpet designs. Even the ad campaign features supermodel Anja Rubik in a billowing pastel creation as she majestically walks through the streets of New York. Kurkdijan has previously been associated with bestselling fragrances such as Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier. So expectations will be high ahead of the July launch of this debut Elie Saab perfume.
