Western India’s Luxury Hotels Offer Pricey Valentine’s Day Packages

There is just one day to go for Valentine’s Day. Do you have plans? If not, and if you either live in India or are traveling here at the time, you should check out the Valentine’s Day packages being offered at some of the biggest luxury hotels in the western part of the country.

The most expensive Valentine’s Day package that we have heard of so far comes from Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace and Tower. Chef Hemant Trivedi has created a 14-course personalized meal worth Rs 3.5 lakhs. If you were eyeing this package, you are a little too late. This deal is sold out. However, the luxury hotel’s other restaurants – Wasabi, Chef Studio and Zodiac Grill – will be offering some equally luxurious meal packages.

You could also try your luck at the JW Marriott in Mumbai. The hotel has a Valentine’s Day package worth Rs 1.5 lakhs, which includes a romantic limo drive and a customized seven-course meal. If you want something more affordable, head to the ITC Maratha for a seven-course meal at either The Peshwa Pavillion or the West View – Grill Room. The pocket pinch is above Rs 35,000.

If you want more than a meal, head to the Taj’s Rajasthan Palaces. A two-night stay can cost you anywhere between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.5 lakhs. You could also book yourself into the Taj Falaknuma in Hyderabad for a two-night stay worth between Rs 65,000 and Rs 90,000. Taxes are extra in both Valentine’s Day packages.

Fit in a Goa trip this week, by booking a three-night package for couples worth between Rs 72,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh at The Leela Goa. You could also sneak in a romantic five-course dinner on the beach for Rs 25,000. And you could always head out to JW Marriott’s private island destination for a five-course international meal with a bottle of Pink Champagne and other drinks for Rs 50,000.

Valentine’s Day is never an inexpensive affair for lovers of luxury.
