Melbourne’s well heeled pets are in for a treat. A $4.5 million luxury animal hotel called the Pet Hotel will open its doors for the furry guests tomorrow. The hotel located in Port Melbourne will give the full VIP treatment to its guests. A two room suite, with spa bath and views overlooking the park comes for just $70 in the Pet Hotel. The hotel is billing itself as an oasis for the modern urban dog and cat.
The announcement of the opening of the hotel has received a very good response from the pet owners. Though the pooch retreat is yet to open, it is already heavily booked for the Christmas season. The hotel will provide designer bedding and bed time snacks and temperature controlled surroundings to its guests. The hotel will also offer massage for relaxation, photo shoot and an indoor dog park called the Central Bark.
The top-of-the-range, two-room presidential suite comes with a flat-screen television and a patio overlooking the park, and a spa bath on check-out. The hotel, in Phillip Court, is the brainchild of business owners Yvonne and Alan Hill, who own Elcho Park Pet Hotel, Lara, and Dennis and Vicki Cleghorn, who run Abba Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Melbourne.
