Ecclestone, the Formula One Boss was mugged in London recently that left him with a head injury but his sense of humor intact. In spite of the injury and the loss Ecclestone could see the humor in it. From the hospital itself he sent his photograph along with a note with his idea for an ad to the Hublot bosses who obviously appreciated the idea and shared his sense of humor as they will be releasing an ad with his picture in the Financial Times and The International Herald Tribune.
The robbers, who attacked Ecclestone and his girlfriend Favia Flosi outside the F1 headquarters in London, stole his personalized Hublot Formula One watch worth £200,000 and jewelry from Flosi. He was taken to the hospital immediately to give medical aid for his head injury.
Hublot said that Ecclestone, who was admitted to hospital following the attack, sent a picture of himself along with a short note to Hublot boss Jean-Claude Biver the same day. The watch brand said that the pair has a similar sense of humor and decided to use the picture to make an advert with the tag line “See what people will do for a Hublotâ€.
