Real estate businessman Donald Trump would start to build the world’s greatest golf resort in Scotland which will draw the attention of golf enthusiasts. The business man received permission from Aberdeenshire Council that he could start the construction which is going to be a jewel for the nation. The magnificent resort will be built on the finest piece of land which was delayed due to the global recession. The golf course with a temporarily built club house is scheduled to open by July 1, 2012 with the plan of hitting the first shot or ribbon cut by Sean Connery. They will start taking bookings from next month. The opening of apartment complex and the hotels at the resort depends on markets.
Trump’s Company last year had started building the course on 1,400 acres Menie estate. He has battled for five years to get the permission to build two courses, 950 rental apartments for short term usage, 500 luxury villas, 450-bed five-star hotel, a golf academy, and a second 18-hole course. It would also include plenty of leisure facilities, and resort accommodation.
Trump said that he would dedicate the golf course to his mother, which would cost about $1.2 billion. The plan of building golf resort in the northeast of Scotland maybe due to the place being known as the home of golf. With forty million pounds investment, the construction will be completed in four years. It will create plenty of job opportunities for the people of Scotland. This plan is one of the biggest dreams in recent history of United Kingdom.
