A lot of simple day to day products carry a money back guarantee with them. But an airline company offering a similar offer might come as a shock to our readers. Well, these are no empty claims. OpenSkines, the fully owned subsidiary of British Airways lets you request a refund for your ticket price in case you find their services deficient. These airlines fly between US and France and a round trip ticket usually costs around $1500.
OpenSkies used Associated Press and Facebook to market their new business policy. The tag line they used to lure customers to pay extra for a premium services said “Try OpenSkies, Love Everything or Pay Nothing.” If one wishes to test their claims, they have to book and fly a round-trip with them from Newark or DC-Dulles to one of their three French destinations—Paris, Lyon, Nantes—by November 30, 2010.
Well, a scheme of money back guarantee is very rare in the airline industry and with the airlines limiting this only to a particular date makes it look like a gimmick more than a permanent promise of high-end services.
