While other international airlines are busy upgrading their in-flight entertainment system or giving money-back guarantee schemes, American Airlines has a different task up its sleeves. The carrier is busy revamping its old aircrafts and turning them into new ones with state-of-the-art features.
American Airlines would be fixing up about 76 airplanes from their Boeing 737 fleet which have begun to show their age. The carrier will be including a new in-flight entertainment system, Wi-fi capabilities, new ceiling panels, upholstery and also the most craved option of plugging in one’s electronic gadgets right at the seat. Above all these improvements is the increase in overhead bin space. Sources suggest that this space would be doubled and as much as six bags could be comfortably stashed in.
The airline is also planning to remove some of the airplane’s galleys to add in another row of seats. Also they are working on few planes at a time and hope to complete the revamping process during the next year.
