Louis Vuitton to Open Their First Airport Store at Incheon in Seoul

Incheon International Airport in the South Korean Capital Seoul is very focused on duty free shopping. If you are an international traveler you will notice that the kind of space Incheon has devoted to shopping areas is much-much higher than any other international airport in the world. At the Incheon you will find what seems like mile after mile of top luxury brands offering their products in mini version of their regular store.

Seoul is almost crazy about duty free shopping. There are families in Seoul who will even take a short international flight just to avail some duty free deals. The result is that even malls in the centre of Seoul provide you the facility of purchasing duty free items that can be picked up at the airport later. It is this conducive environment for duty free shopping that has influenced Louis Vuitton to go in for their first airport store at the Incheon International Airport.

LVMH prez Bernard Arnault personally visited the airport, earlier this year to check things for himself. He obviously liked what he saw because he immediately gave the green light to the project. The inauguration date has not been finalized yet but there is a buzz and anticipation about the demand that will be created by the LV duty free store.
