On November 30th, London will play host to the world’s largest of auction of pre-Embargo Havana cigars. Mitchell Orchant, managing director of C.Gars Ltd, who are going to host the sale said: “There will be almost 300 lots of much sought-after vintage Havanas in our third cigars auction, most of them still smokeable. We have already had huge interest from cigar aficionados in America, mainland Europe, India and China, especially in a rare part box of 23 El Talento Hemingway Pre-Embargo Havanas that is anticipated to fetch £1,200-£1,500.”
Fidel Castro Presidencia Humidor by Elie Bleu is one of the highlights. It has a 300 cigar capacity and holds 150 Presidencia Havanas vintage 2004 and also features Castro’s signatures on the lid under the lacquer coat. It is easy to see why it is so special and is expected to fetch a high price of £15,000-£18,000.
Another highlight of this auction is a sealed box that was originally made for the famous theatrical impresario Emile Littler. This box contains 25 Pre-Embargo H. Upmann Double Claro No.15s. All those who are Havana enthusiasts should definitely head over to London this November for this big event.
