2013 Luxury Daily Awards to Be Announced Later This Month

It is the time now for the annual luxury awards given out by Luxury Daily for Luxury Marketer of the Year, Luxury Retailer of the Year, Luxury Agency of the Year, Luxury Publisher of the Year and Luxury Researcher of the Year. The nominations closed yesterday and it is time now to select the luxury brands, luxury retailers, luxury-focused agencies, luxury publishers and luxury-oriented researchers who have been creative and tactical in their approach and have been focused on consumer during the calendar year 2013. The winners in every category will be announced some time later in the month. Luxury Daily and its Editor-in-Chief Mickey Alam Khan is happy about the tight offline integration with online and mobile channels.

The Luxury Customer is Better Informed and Choosey

There has been some outstanding work done in advertising, marketing and media for luxury brands and the Luxury Daily Awards will honor the best of the best and showcase them as examples of what can be achieved if you put your heart and mind in wooing a luxury customer who has increasingly become finicky and choosey and at the same time very well informed. Some of the big names and top brands have been the winners in recent past. Cartier and Burberry have been the luxury Marketers of the Year in the last two years. Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman have won the Luxury Retailer of the Year award earlier.

The Jury Will Focus on Strategy, Tactics and Results

Previous year’s winners are also eligible to compete for the awards. But the competition is more intense this year as the luxury marketers are adopting innovative ways to beat increasing competition and to penetrate newer markets. The nominations have been filed with 500 word write-up to back-up the claim for the award. The document also highlights the brand’s strategic thinking, tactics, campaigns deployed and their execution during the year. For the category of Luxury Retailer of the Year only those companies whose primary business is luxury retail will be considered. The Luxury Daily editorial team will judge the submissions and their focus would be on outstanding strategy, tactics, creative thinking, execution and results, if disclosed or known. Watch this space for the final announcement of the winners.
