One of the biggest pop star icons in the world, Kylie Minogue is in the headlines again and this time, for all the right reasons. The Australian pop singer has reportedly put up her black 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 convertible up for auction via the prestigious British auction house, Bonhams. This gorgeous Mercedes will be put under the hammer on July 2nd, 2010 in the UK, as part of Bonham’s ‘Goodwood Festival of Speed’ and all the proceeds are said to be donated to charity.
The Mercedes Benz SLK 230 convertible was co-owned by Kyle Minogue and her celebrity sister Dannii, who is widely known for being the judge of two of the most popular reality TV series, The X Factor and Australia’s Got Talent. The black Mercedes is quite unique in its type as, Kylie and Dannii have been the sole owners of the this SLK 230 convertible, thereby making the buyer of this vehicle the only second owner after the celebrity sisters. The car has run only 19,000 miles and is said to be in pristine condition and Bonhams expects the car to fetch a respectable amount between $ 11,581 to 17,372.
According to James Knight (Motoring Department, Bonhams),

Kylie and Dannii have a tremendous and far-reaching fan base and I can see it appealing to many people who want the same experience that they both shared.”
