Elvis Presley’s Personal Items Up For Auction

No wonder Elvis Presley is the richest man not alive! Just after Dunhill’s little ode of a lighter to the rock and roll star, the fashion market is abuzz with an opportunity to own a piece from the personal collection of the man. This line includes more than 500 items used by the rock legend and is up for not-so-high prices at a midtown auction house in New York.

Apparently, the famous blue-and-gold jumpsuit that he wore during a performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 1972 is also part of the auction. This, by the way, is his most famous stage outfit.

Insiders say that Presley had given this suit to songwriter Joyce Dottie Rambo after the concert and it was rediscovered by her daughter last year. Pete Siegel is main organizer of the auction and likes to believe that this particular jumpsuit will fetch $150,000 at least. But we wonder who would fall for such fashion in this day and age. Another highlight of the auction will be Presley’s white Wm. Kane & Co. grand piano with an expected price of $1 million.
