EBACE 2011: Eurocopter Introduces The First Production Model Of The Famed EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style Luxury Helicopter


At the 2011 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE 2011), one of the premier names in the field of luxury helicopters, Eurocopter, has now finally introduced the first production model of the highly anticipated EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style multi-purpose helicopter concept that unveiled at the same event last year. This one of a kind featured packed luxury helicopter has been designed and developed taking inspiration from the immensely famous Mercedes Benz line of luxury cars and this phenomenal bird can be used to accomplish variety of roles, such as ferrying of a vacationing family or transportation of corporate client. The interiors of this magnificent helicopter were conceived at the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Como, Italy.

One of the salient features in the all new EC145 is the ambient light setting controls that enable the passengers to adjust the lights of the aircraft as per their mood and the lighting concept is heavily derived from a similar system found in Mercedes Benz S and E-Class. The EC145 is powered by a powerful turbine engine and the aircraft itself carries a hingeless rotor system and enhanced rotor blades that have been designed to provide considerably low sound levels as well as reduced vibrations. The seats in the EC145 are rail fixed, meaning that they can be easily re-arranged as per requirements and craft can hold up to a maximum of eight passengers. The all new EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style multi-purpose helicopter from Eurocopter is scheduled for display at the EBACE 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 17th to May 19th, 2011.

“Only one year after Eurocopter presented the EC145 ‘Mercedes-Benz Style’ concept at EBACE 2010, we now are unveiling the first aircraft and can already announce the initial sale to a European corporate operator.”
