Recently, luxury brand Bulgari picked actor Kirsten Dunst to be the poster girl for its latest fragrance and the Mediterranean Eden themed print ads are already out. The new fragrance, named Mon Jasmin Noir, will be launched internationally this April. The new fragrance falls under Bulgari’s popular Jasmin Noir brand.
With the new fragrance, Bulgari is looking to tap international markets, particularly the Asian one. To achieve this aim, the brand has come up with a perfume with a lighter scent. Bulgari Group CEO Francesco Trapani admitted that the aim was to be global and to create a scent that would be accepted in Asia. Mon Jasmin Noir has a floral scent of jasmine flowers, but there are also notes of citrus, lily of the valley, cedar and patchouli.
The faceted bottle is signature Bulgari, topped with a gold cap that bears the Bulgari logo. Buyers can purchase the new perfume in three different sizes, 25 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml for $45, $80 and $105 respectively. The perfume will also be available in body shower and shower gel variations for $28 each.
In the first year, Mon Jasmin Noir will be available across 200,000 outlets worldwide. Industry estimates are suggesting that the luxury lifestyle brand could end up clocking $40 million at wholesale prices by the end of the first year. Trapani did not comment on the company’s sales estimates for the new perfume but admitted that he expects 2011 to be big for perfumes, which should include Mon Jasmin Noir and the recently launched Bulgari Men.
