After raising a family of six children, three biological and three adopted, the news of Brad Pitt’s engagement with Angelina Jolie has created a stir. The news first came out through a statement from the jeweler Robert Procop with whom Brad Pitt collaborated to create a stunning wedding ring for the mother of his children Angelina Jolie. Fans who were curious first spotted the 36 year old actress wearing the ring on her wedding finger while she was visiting the Chinese Art collection at the LA County Museum earlier this month. She was accompanied by her fiancé Brad Pitt and their eight year old son Pax.
It is an extraordinary ring and really expresses his feelings for the love of his life. Brad Pitt had been working on the ring for the last one year with the jeweler Robert Procop and the result, evidently is a perfect wedding ring. The large square diamond makes it different from average rings. The oblong-shaped rock is set on top of a thick ribbed band. The jeweler in his statement explained that Brad had a specific vision for this ring and gave it the time to make it a reality. He did not want to compromise on any aspect of the ring and the result is out there for everyone to see.
The power couple from Hollywood whom the paparazzi affectionately call Brangelina, also confirmed the news in a statement. They also added that their six children are particularly happy about the development. The spokeswoman who released the statement said that no date has been set as yet but it is definitely a promise for the future. The jeweler on his part in his statement explained how he was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. There are several smaller diamonds set on the ring to encircle Angelina’s finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality. The experts estimate the cost of the ring to be in the region of $250,000 making it one of the most expensive diamond rings.
John Voight, Angelina’s father, and with whom she earlier had a strained relationship was the first publicly congratulate the couple. Angelina has been married twice before for three years each to British actor Jonny Lee Miller and then with Billy Bob Thornton. Brad, on the otrher hand was married to Jennifer Aniston for five years before they divorced in 2005. It came soon after Brad met Angelina while filming for the movie Mr. & Mrs Smith. Jennifer, it is said to be happy with the development as she is also well settled with her beau Justin Theroux. In fact, Angelina is responsible for connecting Jennifer and Theroux romantically.

Among their six children five-year-old Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged three are their biological children. The other three are adopted, Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, and Zahara, seven.
