Antiquorum Auctioneers Bring Exquisite Timepieces from Patek Philippe and Rolex

Antiquorum Auctioneers have established themselves as the world’s premier watch auctioneer. They manage to get the rarest and the best timepieces  to their auctions and that’s why they have become so popular with the collectors. On November 13 they are organizing the “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” auctions at The Mandarin Oriental in Geneva. The auctions will see a total of 603 exceptional timepieces going under the hammer. The highlight of the auction is a Patek Philippe pocket watch which was discovered recently and people soon realized how valuable it is.

The pocket watch was originally made in 1894 and sold on November 27 to Monsieur E. Hoesch, Villa Barbaia, Mergellina, Naples. Such details are available because the original sales receipt will also be made available with the watch. Its original price was 3750 Swiss Francs but the pre sales estimates for the auction places its value between 200,000 and 300,000 Swiss Francs. It has gained in terms of antique value and become a highly important 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch. The watch features perpetual calendar, chronograph, moon phases, and lunar calendar.

Prior to the auction, previews of the collection on offer will be arranged at Hong Kong, Shanghai and Geneva. There are several other exquisite timepieces on offer. A Rolex timepiece known as Two Americas is a 1950 make. The vintage Rolex is a fine example of remarkable craftsmanship. It has cloisonné dial by Marguerite Koch. This particular model was a limited edition Rolex watch collection release and only six pieces were made. It is a very rare self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with cloisonné enamel map of the two Americas. The watch is coming to the auction from the property of the original owner.
