Reviving the long forgotten is quite fashionable in the luxury auto world of both yesterday as well as today. We have seen the likes of Mini and Spyker have brought dormant brand back to life with various representations and new interpretations of the classic fashions. Now, it is Allard’s turn and it dares to approach things a bit differently.
Well, instead of remaking the legedary J2X is a modern avatar, Allard Motor Works has decided to carry on with the tradition of making the original J2X Mkll that was created in the early 1950s.
The folks at the Los Angeles Auto Show got to see the J2X Mkll unveiling last week. And might we add, that the car looks every bit like its forbearer but with a very little modern twist. You will soon know what we mean. Potential buyers have the option of choosing from a range of American V8 engines. Plus there are the deliciously exquisite leather and aluminum interior with unique portals and leather hood straps. The selling price is $138,500 and it is a limited edition we are talking about here.
