Alice In Wonderland Inspires Christmas Décor At Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo

Santa Claus, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and the busy elves have been done to death in Christmas décor over the years. The in-house stylist at the Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo is bent on doing something different. Miss Rose, who is the luxury hotel’s in-house stylist as well as florist, has chosen a fresh theme – “Christmas in Wonderland”. Obviously, the inspiration comes from Lewis Carroll’s classic novel “Alice in Wonderland”. Given that the highly imaginative “Alice in Wonderland” offers plenty of scope for inspired décor, Miss Rose’s Christmas overhaul should be something to see.

The Christmas décor will be in place from 25 November 2011 to 6 January 2012. The special festive décor will be there for all to see in all the public areas of the hotel. Even the highly acclaimed Yoshi Restaurant and the Restaurant Joel Robuchon Monte Carlo will come under Miss Rose’s spell this winter.

So what should a guest who is putting up at the Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo expect this Christmas season? There will be the mandatory Christmas tree with pretty adornments in pastels and golds. But in keeping with the allegorical Lewis Carroll story, giant biscuits and pocket watches will also hang from the tree, which will stand in the lobby.

Meanwhile, even Head Pastry Chef Patrick Mesiano is in on the action. He will be preparing a number of miniature Yule logs, including the so-called Wonderland Log. These will be served during “Tea Time at Wonderland”.
