Porsche’s Sports Cars Provide Fabric For Luxury Luggage And Apparel

If you have always aspired to own a Porsche but could not quite afford the luxury car price tags, here is your chance to get a piece of the famous sports car brand. Porsche is launching a new apparel and accessory line that will be using materials used in its high-end sports cars.

On 17 August, Porsche revealed the Porsche 917 collection. This line will be sold under the tag of Porsche Design Driver’s Collection. What do you get? A range of cool things including mouse pads and luggage. The material used on this interesting collection includes fabric and other materials used in iconic Porsche models like the 911 GT3 and the Cayman R.

For instance, have a look at the PTS luggage collection. These luxury suitcases feature fabric used in the convertible tops of the Porsche 911 and the Porsche Boxster. But that is not all! The accents and detailing on this luggage line belong to seatbelt and door pull webbing used in the Boxster Spyder, the Cayman R and the 911 GT3. Meanwhile, the cool mouse pad is crafted out of leather that adorns the interiors of Porsche cars. Kids also get a bit of the action with a special luxury suitcase made from Porsche 911 Turbo print. The wheels, which run on kinetic energy from the movement of the luggage, light up as you pull the suitcase along.

The products from the Porsche 917 collection are currently being showcased at the Monterey Classic Car week in California. The event ends on 21 August with the much-awaited Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
