The Cube Pavilion: The Traveling Restaurant Moves Through Europe

A luxury restaurant that travels the world? Indeed, that would be something to see. The Cube Pavilion is an interesting piece of architecture. Its USP is that it is not fixed at any one spot. With a constantly changing address, The Cube Pavilion is an ingenious piece of experimental architecture. Currently, this intriguing creation is traveling all around Europe. Think of it as another kind of a pop-up restaurant. Every so often, it literally pops up at a different location, often one you would not expect.

Most recently, The Cube Pavilion was spotted perched on top of the Parc du Cinquantenaire, a classic, landmark building in Brussels, Belgium. The trip to Brussels is the result of a collaboration between Electrolux and Park Associati. One would not ordinarily expect to see a modern fixture adding to the Neo-Classic and Art Nouveau architectural style of the Parc du Cinquantenaire, but The Cube surprisingly is not a jarring addition.

The Cube has an elaborate travel itinerary. It is scheduled to travel across Europe, stopping for no more than twelve weeks at any single location. It might emerge on the mountains or on a Mediterranean beach. Just as a light packer gets around easily, so it is with The Cube. This architectural wonder is made up of lightweight materials. At the Parc du Cinquantenaire, white and silver aluminum accents have been highlighted to ensure visual appeal.

This Electrolux venture features sustainable materials and energy saving technology. Moreover, this portable space can transform into a lounge as well. The long dining table can be concealed within the ceiling while lounge furniture replace it. Portable, foldable, easily shifted, The Cube is a sight for sore eyes.
