Dr. Dre Collaboration With Korean Artist Sally John
Dr. Dre has been at the forefront of high end headphones and for their latest design they have collaborated with the Korean artist and jewelry designer Sally John and Pure Monster Sound technology. With such creative and technologically sound minds behind it the headphones has turned out to be not only stunning but perfect in terms of sound output. Noel Lee, the CEO of Monster and a noted sound engineer calls it the labor of love and a museum quality work of art. He finds Sally to be a hugely talented and ahead of the curve designer. The headphones are crafted out of 18 carat gold and encrusted with black diamond. It has obviously been designed for those who love bling.
Noel Lee of Monster Has Personally Fine Tuned the Headphones
It will be loved for its superior sound quality as well because it has been fine tuned by Noel Lee himself. The golden headphones have been given a creepy touch by creating diamond studded black spiders on both the earpieces. 5.56 carat worth of black diamond has been used in each pair of headphones. The headphones have been crafted to perfection and it takes almost 100 hours to make one pair. Another version of the design has been created in rose gold but it will be limited to only five pieces. Its price has not been indicated as yet but it is sure to be more than $30,000 because it is being released in very limited edition.
