Bouquet Chair By Tokujin Yoshioka Strikes A Chord

Oh, don’t we always wish life was a bed of roses? Now, that might be a little too much to ask for. In that case, how does a chair full of petals sound to you for a consolation? Welcome Tokujin Yoshioka’s ‘Bouquet Chair’. As one would expect anything with flowers to be romantic, this ones too falls in the same category.

A rather sentimental piece of furniture, the bouquet chair has hand-folded Alcantara fabric petals cover the simple egg-shaped shell on top sewn with a lot of care and patience.  The slim base of this stool like chair is structured in lacquered steel. The best part about this chair is that even after one has sat in it, the petals resume original shape.

Tokujin came up with this idea on a simple realization — bouquets make people happy. It is rather astonishing, how this designer has created a true wonder by making a wishful thinking come true, and so beautifully so! Keep $7,830 aside for this one.
