A Superyacht That’s Chockfull Of Bang & Olufsen Products

This is not the most expensive superyacht, but the Bang & Olufsen Shooting Star is everything you would want a luxury superyacht to be. High on both style and performance, the Shooting Star is the result of a collaboration between Bang & Olufsen and Skagen-based yacht manufacturer Danish Yachts. Naval architect Espen Oeino designed the boat, fitting it with large windows.

The Bang & Olufsen Touch

The Shooting Star is a 121-foot AeroCruiser 38 II that features Bang & Olufsen’s high-end audio-visual products. Each of the Bang & Olufsen products within this luxury superyacht has been custom-made for this beautiful water vessel that comes with a reasonably high price tag of $26 million. If you cannot live without your high-end music system or your super expensive TV set, this is the yacht for you.

The ultra-slim Beovision 10 LCD TV makes an appearance on this superyacht, as do the BeoVision 7 LCD TV with digital surround sound, and a state-of-the-art BeoVision 4 plasma TV. You will also get an oval BeoCenter 2 CD and DVD player and BeoLab 3 loudspeakers with Bang & Olufsen’s patented acoustic lens technology.

An Award-Winning Yacht

As you might alreadt have guessed, this is no ordinary boat. The Shooting Star already has two awards from the 2011 World Yacht Trophy under its belt. It is looking drawing more admiration as it readies for the 2011 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, its debut showing in America.

Under The Hood

Carbon fiber is the material of choice for yacht companies these days. (You might remember the ultra-light C-12, a carbon fiber jet boat.) The Shooting Star also features a carbon fiber hull. The boat runs on dual 4,750 hp diesel MTU engines and reaches top speeds of 45 knots.
