Most Expensive Penthouse To Come Up in Monaco Next Year

Monaco could soon become home to the world’s most expensive penthouse. A multi-storey luxury penthouse is in the making there, and is already being pegged to be the most expensive property in terms of per square metre price. The penthouse will be on the top floor of the Odeon Tower, rising to a height of 170 metres, making it the second tallest building on the Mediterranean coastline. The 3,300 square metre penthouse will cover multiple storeys, and will have its very own infinity pool and water slide! The expected price is £256 million.

Apart from the penthouse, the Odeon Tower will contain 70 luxury apartments having one to six bedrooms, two sky duplexes and a smaller penthouse covering 1,200 square metres in its twin towers. Each flat will have its own private terrace and floor to ceiling windows providing its residents with the panoramic view of Monaco. The towers will also have Turkish and Russian saunas, numerous swimming pools, spas, a cinema, a 24/7 concierge, chauffeured limousines. The residents will be able to organise their housekeeping, valet service and dry cleaning from the touchscreen controls in the apartments.

Work on the project began in 2009 and is expected to be done by July this year, after which work will begin on the facade. The entire building will get its final touches by July next year, after which it will put up on the market. This venture is a dream project of architect Alexander Giraldi, who is considered one of the masters of the “belle epoque” (beautiful era) design, inspired by the early decades of 20th century Paris. The interiors will be done by the Alberto Pinto agency, whose clientele includes Saudi royalty and the whos who of the American industry. The landscape will be designed by Jean Mus.
