World’s Most Expensive Remote Control: Gold RC1

A Danish-based hi-tech manufacturer Lantic Systems, an established name in the realm of budding high end integrated leisure electronic systems has designed a remote control dipped in pure gold. With a price tag of $55,000, this remote most likely falls in the category for being the world’s most expensive remote control against a digestible price tag of $1050 for any ordinary remote control.

Identified as Gold RC1, it was exhibited at the METS 2007 Exhibition in Amsterdam, Holland, which is known as the world’s biggest marine equipment trade show. Getting stimulated from the celebrated RC1 remote control produced by Lantic Systems, the Gold RC1 flaunts the same silky form with a lustrous metallic finish. The remote holds control over TV/video/DVD, music/CD, internet, e-mail and CCTV. It is also operational over burglary alarm, lights, curtains, air-conditioning and scrutiny of navigation systems etc. The company has already started receiving pre-orders for the gold remote control and it is anticipated that the shipping of the remote will start from December 2007.
