William And Kate To Honeymoon In The Indian Ocean

The royal wedding is finally over. We have seen the parade of designer wedding hats. Predictions about the wedding cakes have ended. And slowly, the rush of luxury fashion brands to cash in on William and Kate’s (now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) big day will also die down. Now that the ceremony is over, all eyes are on the couple’s honeymoon plans. If reports are to be believed, the royal couple will be flying away to a secret destination within the Indian Ocean. Apparently, even Kate has no clue about their mid-May honeymoon spot.

The couple will take a private jet, and then hop into a helicopter to take them to the secret destination. They are now Duke and Duchess, so a luxury vacation is in order. According to reports, the pair will take a ten-day holiday in a luxury villa that costs £4,000 a night. Talk is that the tropical paradise has white beaches, clear waters and a sea turtle sanctuary. The luxury villas on the island are few and spread out. Built of local wood, with an open-air bathroom, a garden and a wooden deck, each villa comes with a personal butler and a personal chef. On the menu is lots of fresh fish.

Given that both the Duke and Duchess are outdoorsy, they will have much to do. The luxury travel destination offers enough opportunity for snorkeling, diving and kayaking. And there is a great deal of privacy, something that the royal couple will probably be seeking after all the media hoopla over their wedding. Scotland Yard has already checked the place to ensure security and privacy for the couple.
