Vauxhall Red Victor 3 with a whooping 3000HP will be showcased at CXR Power Festival

If you’re hardcore Vauxhall fan, today is your big day. The Vauxhall Red Victor 3 which is touted to be the world’s fastest Vauxhall will make a scintillating appearance at the VXR Power Festival held Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire between 28th and 29th of august. Powered by by an 8.8-litre, twin-turbocharged GM V8 engine, the vehicle develops power that is three times as much as a Veyron i.e. a whooping 3000hp.

Inspired from the original 1967 Victor FD, Vauxhall Red Victor 3 symbolizes the beginning of a partnership between VXR and the Red Victor team for the 2011 MSA Pro-Modified Drag Racing season. They will participate in next year’s racing season with a street legal car. Since the car is still in the development phase, the team expects to rolls top speed of say 240mph in the quarter-mile which should be achieved in 6.5 seconds. Before you start doubting the credibility of their claims, let me tell you that their former project, Red Victor 2, was capable of nearly 200mph in the quarter-mile and 0-153mph in 4.8 seconds.

Apart from showing the fiery speed of these cars, the Power Event expects to raise funds for H4H through high-octane activities like 0-60 challenges, autotesting, karting and VXR track tuition with pro-drivers.
