Trussardi alla Scala is the iconic fashion house’s platform for display of style and design in the field of food. It is the gastronomic extension of the Trussardi brand. Andrea Berton, the director and chef de cuisine has followed the brands formula in his kitchen as well and created the style that combines the old world charm with avant garde. It has already made the Milanese restaurant one of the most desirable addresses in Italy.
It is a Micheline starred restaurant and the dishes created by Andrea Berton are appreciated and enjoyed both for its culinary tradition and technical accomplishment. Trussardi, the Italian heritage brand was the first to realize that fashion is not limited to runway and they had anticipated the trend for style on a plate. The result was  Trussardi alla Scala and the initiative was so inspiring that Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs followed with their own projects to explore their creativity in the culinary field.
Andrea Berton created the most lavish five course feast as the climax of the 100th anniversary celebrations of Trussardi. In fact Breton closed down the restaurant for the day and shifted the action to Florence’s historic train station, Stazione Leopolda. Over 250 fashion world VIPs were invited to the feast and got to watch Milan Vukmirovic’s autumn/winter 2011-12 men’s line. The menu created for the exclusive dinner reflected the core values values of the brand. The classics were given modern up to date twists and flavors. There was sphere of aubergine “alla parmigiana,” risotto alla Milanese with Osso Buco medallions, and tiramisu finished with a cocoa-coffee slide.
