Anything bearing the name Louis Vuitton has to be larger than life. Books included. The new coffee table version from Rizzoli is called Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture. And this one is a great anthology of the the fashion house’s collaboration with international elite artists, architects, designers and photographers like Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, David LaChapelle, Annie Leibovitz, Takashi Murakami (who by the way is credited for updating the LV monogram) as well as Richard Prince and Stephen Sprouse.
And these literary pieces are well complemented by stunning and rare images. The critical essays examine (and critically so) the position of Louis Vuitton’s patronage under the guidance of Artistic Director Marc Jacobs. From the looks of ut, this one was the most fertile of all periods for the brand.

The Marc Jacobs Sequined New York Rocker Stam Bag will rock the fashion scene this season, is the least we can say. Well, the reckless brashness of this handbag sets it apart from the rest of the usual stuff created by the designer. And when we say ‘brash’, we mean it in a good and elegant way that carries strong hints of expensiveness.
The bag’s exterior has a liquid-like appearance owing to the dazzle of the blue paillettes which are framed with a lot of care on a suede. The bling is aptly toned down by the black leather handles and upped by the goldtone chain link harware, which is detachable too. Yes, this one is a huge dichotomy in itself. Among other salient features, the bag has a snap clip closure, insider zippe rpocket and silk lining.

Louis Vuitton has struck gold twice with popular singing idol Madonna signing on with them for a second time to play muse for Marc Jacobs’ forthcoming autumn.winter collection. And let’s be blunt, the endeavour also aims to reinvent Madonna in the eyes of her fans who have been missing some classy action from her end, frankly, we had become a wee bit tired of the messy divorces.
Made to look like a sumptuous and decadent heroine from the Golden film era, Madonna is scorching hot thanks to photographer Steven Meisel and art director Jacobs (yes, he doubled up roles here). It is indeed a very new form of the famous celeb that we get to see here. The ads have been inspired by the Surrealist technique solarisation perfected by Man Ray.

Off late, there has been a sudden rush in the number of handbags that we have been reporting to you about. The reason is simple. Fashion designers are busy trying to spice up the trends this coming spring especially when the finances are so gloomy. Welcome the Marc from Marc Jacobs. This ones a smart and hip Totally Turnlock Percy Bag.
The pebble-toned leather enveloping the handbag is soft and pliable. The rather dull shade gives it a neutral sheen that makes it go with various color and dress combinations. The front side includes two turnlock front pockets and a very generous strap extending to 23″. You also have the option of doing away with the shoulder strap and carry it like a clutch.

With an interesting name and an equally stylish design, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Puckered Mouse Embossed Hobo will blow your fashion senses away. Available in just one color, a brilliant shade of poppy (trust us, one look at this bright thing, you’d not want to own any other color), this bag is made in a buttery soft leather.
With rather generous dimensions like 17″W X 14″H X 4″D, the Marc Hobo has an embossed pattern with the signature Marc Jacobs’s logo in place. It gently gathers at the top to create a classic shape. The closure is a push lock, which unlocks to reveal a bright interior done up in cotton a lining with a bright pink, blue and purple floral pattern. Hey, there are two interior pockets too.
