Tony Blair’s Memoir “A Journey” coming out soon

Almost every other political leader of some fame publishes their memoirs, and most of them fetch a lot of money. Now is the turn for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair who is coming out with his memoirs titled “A Journey”. If reports floating around are correct, Blair was paid an impressive £4.6 million (over $7.3 million) for writing this book. “A Journey” is supposed to come out this September.

Considering that he had a very long tenure at 10 Downing Street, I am sure there will be a lot of info that we might find interesting to read. The memoir will come out in hardback, audio and digital download format. There will also be a limited edition coming out that will have the autograph of the famous leader. It will be signed, slip-cased and cloth-bound in red, and will be sold for $240.

In the past, special editions of the memoirs of political leaders have fetched quite high prices. Last year, Ted Kennedy’s memoir, “True Compass” sold for $1,000. President Clinton’s gigantic “My Life” fetched $350 and a leather-bound version of President Reagan’s memoir “An American Life” received an amazing $1,500 way back in 1990.
