This Hi-Tech Mirror Offers Weather Updates, Internet Access And More

It looks like a mirror. It feels like a mirror. But it is not just another mirror. It is much more than that. The Cybertecture Mirror allows you to admire your reflection. Once you are done, you can use this technology-driven high-end mirror to tweet about your outfit or update your Facebook status. This is no ordinary mirror. The Cybertecture Mirror almost belongs to the realm of spy movies. I can see James Bond tinkering with this multi-purpose looking glass. It allows you to connect to the Internet, watch your favorite TV shows, monitor your health and it assists during your fitness routine. All this is in addition to providing a crystal-clear reflection. This smart mirror created by James Law has already taken home the Bronze Award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2011.

The Cybertecture Mirror comprises a 37-inch fog-resistant mirror in front and a 32-inch LCD display at the back. Law has fitted this intelligent mirror with a Linux-based proprietary OS. Downloadable apps ensure that you can check weather updates, stream live TV and surf the Internet. A wireless peripheral sensor pad gathers information about your bodily vitals like weight, muscle mass, body fat and so on.

With 8GB of internal memory, the Cybertecture Mirror offers sufficient space to store up to 20 profiles (password-protected, of course). There is an external storage option as well. An included hand-held remote allows for easy use of this cool mirror. However, users can also download a smartphone app to use their mobile device as a remote. Priced between $3,600 and $7,700, the mirror is available in either a black or white casing. Interested buyers can source it from the manufacturer itself or buy it from distributors in China, Hong Kong, India and Europe.
