The Starfleet technology is innovatively being used to feed your kid. Think Geek has introduced a feeding set that is clearly inspired by Star Trek. After all it is never too early to indoctrinate your kids into the world of Star Trek. The kids who grew up on Star Trek are parents now and are nostalgic about trekking in outer space. They connect very easily with a miniature model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 that is part of the feeding system. The model looks life like with its LED nacelles and other details. Star Trek has inspired a whole series of creations including chair, urns and corset. You even have a star trek inspired theme park.
The entire system consists of a bib which is adorned with Star Fleet Space Dock and Klingon Battle cruiser graphics, which come to life with motion activated blinking LEDs. Think Geek has done its best to catch the attention of the babies and they seem to be successful. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701 is what you see first but a feeding spoon has been integrated in the model. The spoon is removable and helps you clean it well. Think Geek has recommended that the feeding system must be washed by hand.
The Star Trek Light-Up Feeding System comes with a motion sensitive, light-up bib. There are flashing LEDs on the nacelles also that keep your baby’s attention engaged while you feed him. It is recommended for ages 12 months and older. It makes mealtime fun for the children. The system comes with three spoon attachments. Spoon attachments are dishwasher safe but the Starship model should not be put in a dishwasher. Bib and Enterprise should be washed with a damp cloth. The system is officially licensed by Star Trek and meets ASTM & CPSC regulations.
