The Lanesborough, one of London’s finest five star hotels is renovating and redesigning its lavish first floor suite. The redesign is going to be so extensive that the entire furniture and fixtures are being removed. Since the condition of the furniture is rather good the hotel has decided to sell off the collection at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, as a part of its monthly Period design sale on March 29.
The collection of furniture that is being sold is somewhat old as they were in use since 1991 when the hotel first opened its doors for the guests. There would be approximately 80 pieces on sale and the prices will range from £30 to £3,000. The redesign of the suite is being handled by interior designer Alberto Pinto. The large and lavish first floor suite and has the inherent advantage of the stunning view of the Hyde Park Corner.
The first floor suite called the Lanesborough Suite costs a significant £14,000 plus taxes for a night. The large suite has four bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen and four and a half bathrooms. The hotel, located in Knightsbridge overlooks the Hyde Park and has a total of 95 guest rooms including 43 suites. The room decor blends the latest technology with Regency-style furniture and art. The rates for the rooms start at £375.
