Some time ago, I had uploaded a post about the custom-built La Dolce Vita Gold and Diamonds 200hp. This gilded car by Fenice Milano came with an Apple iPad Supreme Edition by designer Stuart Hughes. Then again, that is a customised car. While many modern cars have introduced iPod connectivity, the iPad is yet to make major inroads into the automobile segment. However, that could soon change. A Range Rover luxury 4WD has become the first car to offer iPad connectivity as a standard.
The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate is a limited edition model that looks set to bring the Apple iPad onto other car manufacturers’ wish lists. Having DVD screens on the backs of front seats is commonplace enough. Range Rover has taken that idea a little further. The front seatbacks of this limited edition Range Rover flaunt Apple’s portable tablet devices. The encased iPads flip open for passengers who want to watch movies or surf the Internet during commutes. Incidentally, these tablet PCs are removable.
The backseat has an office-like touch to it. It comes with console extensions. Passengers have access to Apple keyboards and an aluminium laptop table. Did I mention that this Range Rover has its own drinks chiller?
Incidentally, buyers will have the option of choosing engines – the new turbo diesel V8 or a 5-litre supercharged petro, V8.
Now, we all know that iPad prices start from about $629. However, buyers of the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate get the tablet devices free. Is that a bargain? Not if you consider that this limited edition car has a six-figure price tag.

Heard about it and its an awesome built think by Land Rover. There is also a news, i don’t know whether its true or not that Range Rover is getting launched as a separate brand from Land Rover.
