Four Seasons Hotels Inc., the Canada based five-star hotel Management Company is making decisive moves in the Sub-Saharan Africa’s finest safari region. The international luxury hotel brand has signed a strategic management agreement with the existing Bilila Lodge located in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The owners of the safari lodge had earlier tied up with Kempinski. The property will be given a facelift and rebranded the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in fall 2012. This will undoubtedly be the first Four Seasons in the wild. Four Seasons Toronto is committed to providing luxury hotels and Four Seasons Spa at exotic destinations like the Bora-Bora Island and now the Serengeti National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Luxury Hotel Brand has More Plans for the Region

The luxury hotel brand has many more plans for the region where their presence is negligible. A luxury tented safari camp in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and a beach resort on the island of Zanzibar is in an advanced stage of planning and will get expedited when the Safari Lodge becomes operational.
All Rooms have Direct Views of the Serengeti
The existing Bilila Lodge however is still operational and it is not clear if it will be shut down for the refurbishment that is going to take place before the property is rebranded as Four Seasons. They would like to remodel the property on the lines of their popular Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Thailand as they aim to enable their guests to spy on wildlife (mainly elephants) in a safe and “ecologically responsible” environment without compromising on luxury. The property has 60 rooms, 12 suites and 5 villas and all of them boast of direct views of the Serengeti. All the accommodation has been built around a two story structure that houses multiple dining options, a spa and an infinity pool. At the moment we can only guess as to what will be the tariff at the new Safari Lodge but it will be safe to assume that it will be expensive.
