Swarovski Unveils $20,000 worth Longwang Statue to celebrate the Year of Dragon

Its been a while since the Chinese Year of dragon celebrations have kicked off and we must admit the sights have been delightful. From gadgets to fashion, this Chinese new year celebration has ushered in a new era for every segment and each day has something to surprise us. Swarovski has gone berserk and rolled out its prolific bling makeover for the Chinese Dragon hat symbolizes power, wisdom and luck. The 11 3/8 x 14 inch golden and red hued statue comes decked with as much as 66,219 hand-set crystals using the Pointiage technique. There is a polished crystal base here which is done up in blue to epitomize the sea.

These statues are up for grab for a price of $20,000 and these will be running only a limited number of 888 pieces. Each of these will also be shipping with a certificate of authentication. With something like this, I don’t think there is a better way for you to have a hallmark relic for the Year of Dragon. Besides, with the gifting season around the corner owing to Valentine’s Day, you could ditch the clichéd red colored stuff and go in for something as lavish as this.

Then there is also the Nespresso from Shanghai Tang which lets you celebrate the Year of dragon with Coffee. We also saw Piaget creating an exclusive Dragon and Phoenix Collection for the Chinese folks.
