It has been common knowledge that Swarovski had tied up with the Clarins Fragrance Group in 2008 to develop a fragrance. It is still too soon to get a whiff of the new scent, Aura by Swarovski, which is set to capture the soul of the crystal. However, perfume connoisseurs can sneak an early peek at the packaging of the new perfume.
There is no way of saying whether the pink perfume that sits inside the bottle has been infused with Swarovski’s signature glitter. But the bottles are certainly eye-catching units. If you thought that the bottle for a Swarovski perfume bottle would be peppered with crystals of various shapes, sizes and colours, think again! Less is more seems to be the governing mantra here.
Swarovski has crafted a sleek, slim and tall bottle using only glass and metal. Most of the bottle is metal, except for a small glass section, through which the pink perfume peeps through. This is definitely a sensual design, and bringing in the Swarovski element is a single, large Swarovski crystal that stands atop the bottle. The effect is rather like that of a solitaire ring. Asymmetrical crystal components are also attached to the bottle.
Swarovski is bringing out two sizes for its new perfume. A definite plus is that the company plans to introduce refill packs as well. For perfume enthusiasts, this is certainly the big news this season. In the meanwhile, we continue looking forward to the international launch of Bulgari’s new perfume, Mon Jasmin Noir, this April.
