Wedding ring shopping is certain to send the best of us into a tizzy. But if you promised her a wedding that is out of this world, and are not planning one of those space weddings, make sure the ring matches her expectations. And what better way to do this than with Space Wedding Rings.
On 20 May, the first set of Space Wedding Rings was launched into space via a rocket from New Mexico, USA. This was part of SpaceWed’s initiative to create weddings that are literally out of this world. SpaceWed is a company dedicated to creating unique wedding experiences for its high-end customers.
So the company placed a package holding rings and gold bullion in the 20-foot tall UP Aerospace SL-5 rocket. Travelling at 4,000 miles per hour, the rocket carried its payload capsule into space for 4 minutes, before separating and returning to the White Sands Missile Range launch site.
A helicopter retrieved the payload capsule, which contained the SpaceWed package and several student science experiments. The rings that underwent space travel have the serial number SWR-001. This range of limited edition Space Wedding Rings designed by Polish jewelry firm Apart is being called the SWR-50th Anniversary Collection. It marks 50 years of the first human flight to space back on 12 April 1961.
SpaceWed plans to release more space-travelled wedding rings, each designed by renowned jewelry designers and boasting of a separate laser engraved serial number and space logo. Priced between 12,000 and 16,000 euros, these hugely expensive rings will be packaged in a cosmic box along with full documentation proclaiming authenticity.
Love Anna for the heads up!!!
