Sea Fair, the exhibition yacht has been an exciting addition to the East Coast fine art fair circuit. The concept of a waterborne exhibition venue adds a lot of fun to art appreciation. The yacht has been designed and custom constructed by Luiz de Basto at a cost of $40 million. The SeaFair travels along the shoreline and brings to the well heeled oceanfront communities exhibits, priceless collections and luxury events. David and LeeAnn Lester were the driving force behind the concept and took the project from conception to creation.
They are the veterans of art and exhibition scene. They own the International Fine Art Expositions and have also been handling AIFAF and Naples International Art & Antique Fair. Under the Sea Fair 2011 schedule the luxury yacht had a successful stop at Sarasota. The summer schedule will take the floating exhibition to New England. “Art in the Harbor†fairs will start on June 30 at Mew Port, Rhode Island. The summer schedule will wind up in September. The 228 foot long yacht will be a majestic sight at the Perry Mill Wharf through the summer.
The exhibition will be open to visitors Friday through Monday between 11am and 7pm. A single day admission ticket will cost $15 in advance and $20 if you buy the ticket on the yacht. The three storied yacht will exhibit in 28 galleries art and sculpture, fine jewelry, furniture and art glass. The items on display will be in the price range of $3,000 to $35,000. During the exhibition hours the visitors can access the Sky Deck and its dining and drinking venues. The yacht will host a variety of dockside soirees and welcome the yachting crowd and the socialites. The last summer stop for the yacht is Greenwich, CT which will play host to SeaFair from September 15 to 19.
