The British Ministry of Defence has eradicated missiles and other cartridge artillery. In 2001, the Government handpicked the Joint Strike Fighter to serve the need for a furtive multifunctional combatant to function from the potential aircraft carriers, thereby substituting the Harriers. The mounted display system of the Helmet offers signals for flying, mapping and fighting the aircraft to the pilot.
Its USP resides in its functionality to overlay infra-red imagery onto the screen allowing the pilot to ‘look through’ the cockpit floor during night and also enables him to view the world underneath. Designed by Lockheed Martin, this ultra-modern Joint Strike Fighter is anticipated to swap the RAF and RN’s Harriers.
