Well as cheesy as that statement is, let us quickly introduce you to the new S.T. Dupont Place Vendôme lighter and pent set than really made us talk in that manner. This one comes from the makers of the most expensive lighter in the world, so you can very well expected some of that to rub off on this latest product.
S.T. Dupont claims to have combined luxury and homage by etching out the most well-known examples of the 17th Century French architecture all on to a lighter. Apparently, the French firm was most inspired by Place Vendôme; a building originally commissioned by King Louis XIV but now functions as a hub for the most high-end French jewelry.
The lighter and pen set in question are part of a limited edition and has been made in Ligne 2 Prestige rose gold with diamonds to add their own sparkle. So, what you get for $47,000 is an elegant lighter with two Olympio Extra Large pens, a fountain pen and roller ball as well as an ashtray. All lighters and pens have been numbered out of 1810 which is a reference to the date when Napoleon erected the Vendôme Column.
