The creature is revered in China; hence the year 2012 has a special significance for them. The Rolls Royce collection that celebrates the year has very unique detailing. The Bespoke division of the company has become very active in the recent years and has been creating special editions on a regular basis.

The Year of the Dragon Collection features a twin coach line with a dragon, in gold color, hand-painted to the side of each Phantom or Phantom Extended Wheelbase. The dragon has been painted in such a way that it will always look forward. You have dragons in the interior of the cars in the collection. The dragon also appears on the leather of every headrest. The figure has been hand embroidered. Four threads of different colors have been used for the fine embroidery. Tan, Golden Sand, Black and White have been used to create the image of the dragon.

The seats also feature an additional piping. The image of the dragon is also inlaid on the passenger panel of every car. The Phantom model name is also applied in gold. Two hand-stitched cushions are provided for the rear passengers. The double R logo of the company is embroidered on the cushions and a piping detail makes it a perfect match with the seat. The tread plates on all the four door sills are illuminated and ‘Year of the Dragon 2012’ is engraved on it with LED lighting.
