Rihanna’s Midas touch now takes a legendary turn as it has come to the knowledge of fashion world that she and LVMH are collaborating on another project, a luxury label this time. It surely is a promise for another successful entity if her past successes are any indicators. Sources have indicated that LVMH has hand-picked a few select employees to work exclusively with Rihanna and her team. Â
Beginning as a creative director of Puma that roared into uber-chic horizons, moving on to the successful Fenty Beauty with LVMH and more recently, the huge response to Savage x Fenty, Rihanna has time and again proved that her eye for marketing the right product to the right consumer is unparalleled. To top it all, she has inclusivity in her kitty too.
Her beauty line has maintained its pole position due to a collection of diverse range of skin tones, not choosing white as the only tone to compare to. This has made her as well as the product line immensely popular across consumers. Her lingerie line too caters to a wide variety of body shapes and not just the skinny ones normally seen in ads worldwide.
Rihanna has of late shown immense potential as a successful businesswoman with her talent of putting the right steps forward in all her business decisions. Hence, it would be safe to say that she does have the right mix of edginess and maturity in her to tide her over the choppy waters of unstable markets around the world. It speaks highly of her sense of gauging the youth pulse as she offers exactly what a customer is longing for.
Not yet confirmed, the line is scheduled to be launched to time with the release of her newest album, which is later this year. While there aren’t too many details available, reports say that her designs will include pret-a-porter as well as leather goods and accessories. It can be safely said that it being three years since her last album appeared on the music scenes, this release is going to be awaited with bated breath.
This new business venture has already garnered attention as she supposedly stepped out recently in a pair of sunglasses with the Fenty logo on it, giving rise to speculations of being from a new collection. The singer-fashionista turned business mogul had also designed shades for Dior’s 2016 collection, which were a raging success and hence it comes as no surprise that this accessory could be included in the luxury house label.
WWD announced the teaming up of the powerhouse performer and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton for this luxury label. For the time being, we will wait and watch till the singing sensation brings forth glamour and beauty in her designs. Here’s wishing them more success.
