Having a baby changes life completely. That is a realization that dawned on singer Pink soon after the birth of her baby girl, Willow Sage Hart, in Los Angeles on 2 June. The singer is reported to have spoken about how life changes drastically once you have a baby. She said, “But you can’t possibly grasp how beautiful that is until you have your child.” Soon after the birth of the baby girl, Pink had tweeted, “She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed.” The father is Pink’s husband, Motocross racer Carey Hart.
But the arrival of the baby may have sparked the need to move out of Pink’s Los Angeles mansion. The grand luxury residence is located in Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles, California. Built in 1946, the house features Spanish style architecture. It is a spacious celebrity home featuring four bedrooms, five baths and sprawling gardens. However, the 31-year-old singer will no longer be living there. She and her husband have now moved to a luxury home in Malibu. The family of three was spotted in the area recently, enjoying a casual outing. This move looks to be a permanent one and Pink has already placed her Los Angeles property up for sale. The list price is currently $4 million. In the listing, the property is described as “a true oasis, a celebrity retreat…”
Yet, the singer’s Los Angeles home is rather unlike her own Funhouse image. The home features very subtle, classic interiors and décor, none of the punk rock star chic that we have come to associate with Pink over the years. The lounge area has a subdued elegance. Earth tones dominate the room, be it in the walls, the sofas, the coffee table or the fireplace. The warm earthy palette extends into the other rooms as well. The games room too is simple and classy. It features a jukebox, a pool table, an intricate, retro chandelier and matching light fixtures. The couple’s choice of textured paint has given the walls of the home a beautiful Suede feel. In one of the rooms, they chose a mustard yellow shade which goes beautifully with fireplace and the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
The luxury property in Los Angeles has extensive gardens. A large indigo swimming pool also occupies part of the grounds and includes a grotto cave spa. There is also a built-in outdoor barbecue of shining silver and a fire pit within a table with chairs all around. This makes it ideal for entertaining guests. There is also a semi-outdoor table tennis room on the grounds of the mansion. The property houses a gym as well, where the family and guests can stay fit.
The property seems large enough for a family of three. But maybe the couple were looking for a different kind of home to raise their new baby in. Pink and her husband have paid $11 million for their new Malibu mansion. The new house is much larger. It occupies 6,800 square feet and has six bedrooms and seven baths. In the meanwhile, Pink will be on the lookout for buyers for her Los Angeles home. And if it sells for $4 million, the singer would well have recovered the $2 million she bought it for back in 2002.
