Philips Go Down Under With The Release Of A Sensational New TV In Australia

One of the biggest names in consumer electronics, Philips has now decided to revisit Australia, nearly two years after retracting from the Australian markets. This time around, Philips has announced the launch of its sensational Cinema 21:9 television in Australia. The all new Cinema 21:9 is a high definition 56-inch television, that provides the users with a crystal clear, 2560×1080p resolution, along with 2.39:1 movie presentation.

Philips 56PFL9954H 56 inch (142 cm) Cinema 21:9 is well known for its 200Hz picture smoothing technology and the television has already won an award from the EISA panel in the year 2009. This all new entertainment power house is comprised of Philips Perfect Pixel HD processing engine and Ambilight backlighting and provides an astounding 1 millisecond response rate.

This incredible television set won’t show up un your regular electronics store as, with a price tag of $9,000 the Philips Cinema 21:9 is only available via special orders from distributors and approved custom installers.

According to Philips,

“Cinema 21:9 is the world’s first LCD to re-create a true to life cinema picture experience from the comfort of the home. Traditional LCD displays compromise the way we watch films at home by changing the aspect ratio to fill the screen – losing the full scope of the original shot – or by inserting distracting black bars (letterboxing) at the top and bottom of the screen.”

  • Hey there,

I was wondering how to contact the distributor.
If it’s not possible that’s okay, however it would be AMAZING to have such a beautiful television in my home.

    Kind Regards,
    Jake.G
